This unique experience will take you to the most bustling food market in Barcelona La Boquería where led by a professional chef you will choose the ingredients for a cooking competition!
The tour guide (animator) divides the participants into teams and each team is given a task: shopping in the most historical and lively food market in Barcelona, located at Las Ramblas street – La Boquería. You will be amazed of the stalls’ colors here and the freshness of the seafood, meat, vegetables and fruits. Meet and talk to local producers who are selling their goods here for generations and learn more about the Catalan cuisine. In the shopping baskets you will have an envelope containing a list with the essential and traditional products that can be part of the cooking competition, translated in spanish. After you complete the first task, you will be fully briefed by an expert chef on the rules and the objectives of the game. The idea is to create your own special and unique meal. Under the thoughtful guidance of the chef instructor, every team will have the time to prepare various dishes. At the end of the activity the teams will enter into the dining area and present the food for the opposing team “restaurant style”. Each team will then receive some constructive feedback from the expert chef and of course, you will enjoy the meal, accompanied by a fine selection of spanish wines. Let the feast begin!
