Discover Girona and Figueres, both very important places of cultural heritage and historical interest. The tour starts with Figueres, famous as the birthplace of Salvador Dalí, the great surrealist Spanish painter. Enjoy a guided visit of this spectacular museum, designed by Dalí himself. Considered as the biggest surrealistic project in the world, you will see that even the building is a work of art. Inaugurated in 1974, the Dalí Theatre-Museum was built upon the remains of the former Figueres theatre. The painter decided to create this space and to place in it the most representative part of his art: surrealist creations spanning from his earliest artistic experiences to the works of the last years of his life. On your guided visit inside the museum you will find various collections and series’ of paintings, sculptures and monumental installations specially designed for the museum, such as the Mae West Room, the Wind Palace Room and the unique Rainy Cadillac construction.
